We got to head out to the country for a fun Lily Lake Resort Wedding for Ashley and Tarrant. We loved how this wedding turned into a camping weekend wedding surrounded by family and friends.

Wedding theme and colors (explain the reason behind your decision):
Red and white
I was strongly influenced in my colour picking by Canada’s 150 Birthday.
Plus it’s romantic and elegant and you can’t go wrong with red and white.
The venue was old rustic unique and country just like I wanted.
Approximate number of wedding guests:
I think 109
Your top 3 best moments and why:
When dad pulled out the Thunderbird
Reading our vows to each other. I didn’t know what on earth Tarrant would say, he caught me off guard when he said he wanted to do our own vows. And I was proud of myself for getting them done that morning.
Dancing. All the dancing was my favorite moment. I loved dancing with everyone for that song I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll. My dad danced with Paityn too the Proclaimers I Will Walk, which is the same song he danced with me too at his and mom’s wedding. My mom and I danced to Dr.Hook while my dad sang along lol. I like dancing 😁
Getting to drive the Thunderbird while Tarrant sat passenger.
Wedding song, explain choice for song:
Gavin Degraw – More Than Anyone
I picked that song out when I was 15 and wouldn’t change my mind. I’ve loved Gavin DeGraw since I was 15 and found him on One Tree Hill. Tarrant knew it was going to be that song and he didn’t complain.
Your top 3 favorite wedding details (cake, flowers, dress, band, etc.) and why:
I looooooved my sign in board and everything that people wrote on it. I loved my paper flowers especially the Buffy book flowers. Because my mom helped me incorporate Buffy into the wedding in the most beautiful way.
Tarrant’s shoes were awesome
I know that’s more than 3
Any advice to those that are planning their wedding?
Good luck 😉
In the works. We had a familymoon. We spent an amazing week out at Wabamun camping and boating with the kids and dogs. It was my first time driving the boat. It was the first time Reid went on the tube. Rosie loved going on the boat. We weren’t brave enough to bring Hope on the boat.
